The Boundary County Museum uses period rooms, exhibits and displays to present the accumulated history of the county.

Boundary County Museum circa 2005

The museum has come a long way since its opening in 1974 in the basement of the library, in 1986 it was moved to the Houck Building on Main Street. Through a generous gift, the Society purchased the Houck Building in 2006, still only having the Main Hall as exhibition space and renting out two spaces for added income. When businesses moved out, the Society remodeled in 2007 and 2012, expanding the Museum for more exhibition, storage and program spaces.
