Here is a picture of the Bonners Ferry Cubs Pack 114 Hill Billy Band.

After we shared this in the Bonners Ferry Herald, Sept 14th 2017, Vivian Irwin was able to identify almost everyone in the picture for us. Second row: Don Neiland, Maclin Bell, Richard Berger, Jim Neumayer and Bill Purington. Third row: Lee Hoglan, Bill Irwin, Don Walters, Russ Allen, Leroy Ermantrout and Don Hoagland. Back row: Dee Allen, Tony Berger and Easter Berger.

The two young men in the front row will go unidentified for now.

Fifty years ago, July 31 to August 9, 1967, 12th World Scout Jamboree was held at Farragut State Park. Bonners Ferry would play host to a group from the Philippines for several days and showed them the area. In return, the boys gave a free show to the community displaying their native songs and dances. Friendships that would last a lifetime would be developed. Did your family host any of these young men? Do you have a memory about their stay here?

Update: In 2020 this newspaper clipping from the Spokane Chronicle, Friday, November 16th, 1945, was shared with the Museum on Facebook –
