This photo was taken October 3 1933 ninety-one years ago shortly after the construction of the steel and concrete bridge over the Kootenai River in Bonners Ferry Idaho. In addition to that bridge a short bridge (with a span of rock between them) was constructed over the Spokane International Railroad (Union Pacific) track on the north bank. They replaced the high wooden bridge which had been built in 1910.

Both of those bridges were replaced in 1984 by the longer concrete bridge currently in use.
