This 1908 photograph of A.J. Kent sitting in his office is labeled “Products of the Kootenai Valley, Idaho.” A.J. had his hand in many industries in the county: mining, lumbering, and farming. He operated a real estate office and was a substantial land owner and businessman. He was quite the promoter of the area.
A.J. and his wife, Nellie, raised their family in Bonners Ferry. He is Howard’s grandfather.
The typewriter you see on his desk was donated to the Museum and is a great conversation piece when visitors view the exhibits.
The Museum is still closed to the public. Hopefully it will open its doors soon. Thank you for your continued support!

A.J. Kent
