This cradleboard was made by Catherine Abraham Francis, wife of Simon Francis. Catherine was the great granddaughter of Chief Abraham, who sold the rights to operate a ferry on the Kootenai River to Edward L. Bonner. Catherine and Simon had 15 children between 1910 and 1936. They had seven boys and eight girls. This cradleboard was made about 1920 and donated to the Museum by the Brant family.
