Anges Felch, Manager of the Commercial Hotel, received this letter dated May 8, 1952.
“Dear Mrs. Felch – Your letter with check received this noon and am sorry but I just can not put any more improvements on hotel for a few months. I have so many bills to meet this month and they must be met. If there were any way for the installation to be met I might be able to pay for pump which you say would be $30.00 but could not put in more. You realize I have been under big expense & still have over $100.00 there this month – am sorry. Hope you have no flood. Sincerely, Ella E Ludington”
