After Ned Dyer (who owned a farm on the North Bench) retired, he spent his summers in Boundary County and winters in Arizona. Ned became interested in stained glass artistry and had a studio in both places. He created many stained glass pieces before he took on the challenge of scroll saw artistry. He started with smaller pieces, but advanced very quickly to large, intricate, elaborate clocks.
It was Ned’s wish that: “My clocks and stained glass pieces go to the Boundary County Museum.” If you have not seen the Ned Dyer collection, you should stop into your Museum for a peek.
This rocking horse is one of Ned’s creations. It can be seen on the dresser in the children’s exhibit.
