In the United Kingdom, the Edwardian era was a period in the early 20th century that spanned the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910. Young girls would have a themed doll party; a delightful, vintage celebration that channeled the Edwardian and pre-war eras. Guests were encouraged to bring their favorite porcelain or cloth dolls and engage in imaginative, polite “teatime” conversation. Dressing in soft, pastel colors, girls would be seated with their dolls at tables adorned with lace doilies, and floral arrangements in petite vintage vases. This was a very common play activity for children in 1910.
